# Transfer and Fund Management

**Asset Transfer Mechanism** ChainBitX contract accounts and spot accounts are managed independently and require manual fund transfers. After user deposit, funds default to the “Spot Account.” To trade contracts, USDT or other supported assets must be transferred from the “Spot Account” to the “Contract Account.” Transfers are free of charge and settle instantly. On the “Assets” page, select transfer, confirm the currency, direction (Spot ➝ Contract), enter the amount, and click confirm to complete the fund movement. After transfer, you can open positions immediately without waiting.

Transfers support multi-currency transfers and one-click full transfers. Besides USDT, ChainBitX also supports BTC, ETH, and other coins for transfer to participate in the corresponding coin perpetual contract trading. Users can flexibly manage account funds, such as temporarily adding margin or transferring funds back to spot account after closing positions for withdrawal.

**Fund Management Suggestions** It is recommended to transfer only the planned trading portion of assets to the contract account to reduce overall risk exposure. The contract account is highly volatile and always faces liquidation risk. To avoid losing all assets due to errors or extreme market conditions, users are advised to adopt a tiered fund strategy, transferring only a small portion of trading funds to the contract account while keeping the rest in spot or stablecoins. For example, if total assets are 1,000 USDT, transfer only 100–200 USDT for high-frequency trading and gradually add based on performance.

Make reasonable use of the profit transfer mechanism to “lock in profits.” If contract trading has realized profits, users can transfer the profit portion back to the spot account anytime to avoid giving back gains later. This also facilitates fund withdrawal, participation in other low-risk financial products or airdrops, optimizing asset efficiency.
