# Withdrawal Address Whitelist Feature

The **Whitelist** is a critical security feature provided by **ChainBitX**, allowing users to pre-define **trusted wallet addresses**. Once enabled, the system **only permits withdrawals** to these whitelisted addresses, effectively preventing hackers or malicious actors from changing withdrawal targets.

**How It Works:**

* Go to **"Account Settings" > "Withdrawal Whitelist"** to add one or more trusted addresses.
* Once enabled, your account can **only withdraw to addresses in the whitelist** — all other withdrawal attempts will be blocked by the system.
* Any changes to the whitelist will require **multi-layer verification** (such as **fund password + email verification code + Google Authenticator**) and trigger a **24-hour cooldown period**, greatly reducing the risk of unauthorized asset transfers.
