# Set Fund Password

The fund password is a second layer of protection on **ChainBitX** for important operations such as withdrawals and transfers, ensuring that asset operations remain restricted even if the account is logged in.

**Security Recommendations:**

* The fund password should be different from your login password to avoid total compromise if one password is leaked.
* Regularly change your fund password and keep a proper record to avoid account freezes caused by frequent incorrect attempts.
* It is not recommended to perform asset-related operations on public or insecure devices.
* If you notice abnormal login or asset changes, immediately change your fund password and freeze withdrawal permissions.
