Tag / Memo Usage Guide

When depositing certain specific cryptocurrencies (such as XRP, XLM, ATOM, EOS, etc.), in addition to the wallet address, you also need to fill in an additional Tag, Memo, or Destination Tag. This extra field is used to identify the source account of the deposit and is a necessary parameter for the platform to recognize the ownership of the assets.

Failing to correctly fill in the Tag or Memo may result in the deposit not being credited, with funds stuck on the blockchain and possibly unrecoverable. Therefore, when depositing these types of coins, be sure to accurately copy and paste the Tag or Memo provided on the page. Do not fill in arbitrarily, leave it blank, or copy parameters from other platforms.

During the deposit process, ChainBitX will clearly display the complete “Address + Tag (or Memo)” information below the deposit address. Most wallets provide a dedicated input field for Tag / Memo on the transfer page; please ensure you fill it in the correct place to avoid asset loss.

If you have completed a deposit but forgot to fill in the Tag / Memo, you can submit a support ticket or contact customer service for manual processing. However, the processing time is long, and the platform cannot guarantee recovery of the funds.

Friendly Reminder: When depositing coins that require a Tag or Memo, please make sure to fill in the additional information prompted by the platform. If you are unsure whether the coin requires such a field, refer to the deposit page instructions first or consult ChainBitX customer service for confirmation.
