# Demo Trading

Contract trading offers greater profit opportunities but also involves higher risks and requires more knowledge compared to spot trading. To support beginners, **ChainBitX** provides a contract demo trading feature within its app. This allows new users to practice trading with virtual funds in a risk-free environment, helping them accumulate experience and confidence before starting real contract trading.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open the **ChainBitX** app. On the homepage banner, tap \[More] and find Demo Trading, or simply tap \[Demo Trading] directly from the homepage.
2. Enter the BTCUSDT Perpetual Contract (Demo) section. Currently, only USDT trading pairs are supported for demo trading.
3. When using demo trading for the first time, submit an application and the system will automatically allocate a maximum of 500,000 USDT in demo funds. If your demo account balance falls below 1,000 USDT, you can tap “Add” to request more funds. Note that demo funds can only be claimed once every 24 hours.
4. In the trading settings, you can adjust the Position Mode or Leverage. There are three types of order modes available:\
    ① Limit Order\
    ② Limit Mode\
    ③ Conditional Order Mode
5. Choose to Buy Long or Sell Short, then set your order type, unit, price, quantity, etc., and tap “Buy” / “Sell” to place the order quickly.
6. After placing an order, you can view your positions, current orders, and order history in the Positions list.
7. Tap “Return to Live Trading” to switch back to the real trading interface.
8. After opening a position, you can choose options like Close Current Only, Share Trading Results, Take Profit / Stop Loss, Close Position, Market Close All, and One-Click Reverse Position.

Notes:

* The quick order button allows you to adjust all related parameters mentioned above.
* You cannot switch order modes if there are any open positions or pending orders in either live or demo trading.
* If you have enabled copy trading, switching to buy/sell mode is not allowed.
* Trailing exit orders are not currently supported in demo trading.
* When opening a full-position order exceeding your margin, leverage adjustment will be blocked, and the system will notify you.
* Always select Return to Live Trading at the top right to avoid staying in demo mode after logging out or restarting the app.
