# Error Deposit Handling Instructions

Although **ChainBitX** strives to provide clear deposit guidelines for users, mistakes may still occur during actual operations, such as:

* Depositing to the wrong address
* Depositing tokens on unsupported networks
* Sending tokens to an incompatible address (e.g., sending ETH to a BTC address)

Such erroneous deposits usually happen because users fail to verify the coin type and network, overlook address prefixes, or habitually copy old addresses. Once an error occurs, in most cases, the funds cannot be recovered, especially if the transaction has already been confirmed on the blockchain.

Some minor errors (for example, mistakenly depositing ERC20 USDT to a TRC20 address) within supported **ChainBitX** networks may have a chance of recovery. However, users must provide complete information (transaction hash, screenshots, time, etc.) and cooperate with technical reviews. The handling process usually takes a long time, and **ChainBitX** reserves the right to decide whether to process the recovery.

The platform advises users to carefully check the following information before each deposit:

* Whether the coin type matches
* Whether the network matches (ERC20 / TRC20 / BEP20)
* Whether the address is accurate
* Whether the required Tag / Memo is filled in
